What counts as a wholesale order?

At Towels Direct, wholesale customers typically order a minimum of £1,000 + VAT per order. If you place regular orders, that minimum can be reduced, so it is worth talking to us about how often you buy. Other suppliers set their own thresholds, so always ask what the minimum is before you compare prices.

Seven things to check before you buy in bulk

• Weight (GSM). Heavier is not always better. A spa wants plush; a gym wants quick drying and low laundry cost. Our towel GSM guide explains which weight suits which setting.
• Material and finish. Ask where the towels are made and what they are made from. Ours are premium Turkish textiles, made in our factory in Turkey.
• Consistency between orders. A re-order should match the first. Ask whether the supplier holds the same product and colour long term.
• Stock and delivery. We offer next-day delivery on items in stock. Made-to-order items take longer, so plan around that.
• Bespoke options. If you want your own branding, ask about labels, lead times and minimum quantities.
• Laundry performance. Towels that go through frequent hot washes need to keep their absorbency and colour. Ask how they hold up after repeated washing.
• Who you can speak to. A named person who knows your account is worth more than a lower price from a call centre.
